(2003-2004)Choreography:Ingrid Tranum PS.Did I ever say…is a duet created to the old American folk song “East Virginia”. It is following the lyrics in portraying a mans worship and endless love to a woman, who he is forever devoted to without knowing if she will return his love. There is in the song an underlying tension and desperation in his praise of her and a fear that he has not and will never sings this song to whom it was meant, and that his words and devotion will forever be in vain. It is in this tension between what he wishes to say and what he actually says, that the piece takes its moving force and gather it’s restless energy.
