”Hopelessly awake”

Hopelessly Awake is a duet, moving on the borderland of being painfully
awake and the fear of surrender to the sleep. The dancers are haunted by images
their minds make them witness as they are hopelessly awake, and to stop their
own torment they both fear and desperately desire to flee into the sleep. Martha
Betzer has composed the music for the piece and also performs it live (piano and
song) during the performance.
